Continuing Education

If you are unable to complete your online registration or enrollment, you can register in person or by mail:

To register in person:

Visit the Gig Harbor or Tacoma campus, during business hours, to register or enroll.  Please remember to bring your photo identification as well as a completed CE Registration Form (pdf). Once you are registered and enrolled at the Gig Harbor or Tacoma campus, you may pay by cash, check, or money order.

To register by mail:

Please print and fill out the CE Registration Form (pdf). Mail the completed form with payment to our Gig Harbor Campus at 3993 Hunt Street, Gig Harbor, WA 98335. You can pay by cash, check, or money order. You can also pay online via the Credit Card Payment Page.

Upon completing your online enrollment you should receive an email confirming your enrollment.

At the Gig Harbor Campus, no permit is required.

If your class meets at the Tacoma Campus, you will need to request a permit from the Campus Safety office in Bldg. 14 on the Tacoma Campus or call 253-566-5111.

If a student elects to withdraw from a class, a request must be made in writing (an email will suffice).

Requests must be made five (5) days before the first day of class. Please allow three to four weeks for processing. All refunds will be issued via check by mail. Call 253-566-6084 if you have questions about a refund.

If Tacoma Community Colleges initiates a class cancellation, the student will be notified by email and the Class Fee refunded.

Yes! We offer a variety of CE personal interest courses through zoom. We also offer 24-hour remote access options through Ed2go and Green Flower. All our online courses are fun, highly interactive and informative. System requirements for each course are detailed on the course description page.

Tacoma Community College Continuing Education Department is approved by the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction to provide clock hour certification for K-12 public school instructors. This certification is available for all programs offered in this section.

Requests for clock hours must be made at the time of registration or within the same quarter year in which the class was completed. A $20 administrative fee is required to offset printing, mailing and record keeping costs. Call 253-460-2356 for more information.
